How to reach Ooty:

By Air: Coimbatore International Airport (IATA: CJB), which is around 90 kilometres from Ooty, is the closest airport. You can take a bus or a taxi to go to Ooty from the airport. Regular flights between Coimbatore Airport and important Indian cities make it a practical choice for air travel.

By Train: Mettupalayam Railway Station (station code: MTP), located around 47 km from Ooty, is the closest significant rail hub. You can go to Ooty from Mettupalayam on the well-known Nilgiri Mountain Railway toy train. Although the toy train ride can be tedious, it is scenic and unforgettable. By Road: Ooty has excellent road access, with numerous state and federal routes leading to the hill station. The most popular route departs from Coimbatore, which is about 85 km away and requires three hours to travel by vehicle. Regular bus service also runs from Coimbatore to Ooty.

It is roughly 270 km away from Bangalore, and depending on traffic and road conditions, the drive will take you between 6-7 hours.
